Six Weeks

Isn't she adorable? My little "chubby cheeks" has been with us six weeks now, and we're loving (almost) every minute of it!!! Allow me to brag about some of her accomplishments...
At:
5 days- pushed body up while lying on stomach
1 week- holding head up
10 days- smiled
2 weeks- cooing
3 weeks- roll side to side
4 weeks- recognizing certain people
5 weeks- squeals in delight; blowing bubbles; eyes follow motion of swing mobile
6 weeks- sucks on hand; pushed up on stomach and flipped over to back

Strong Little Girl

Liberty is standing on her own in this first picture. We are quite amazed by Liberty's physical strength; according to some baby charts, she's far beyond her age in what she's able to do with her muscles. It's a joke around our house that she'll be walking when she's six months old- as her mother, I certainly hope it stays a joke, because I want her to be little for a while. I'll be chasing her down soon enough as it is (smile)!

2008 Girl

Grandma's girl...born in 2008! She's a wonderful baby, and we continue to enjoy her a lot. She just started following the motion of her swing mobile, recognizing faces and voices, and squealing in delight.

And More Construction

The house is progressing well! The windows are in, housewrap is on, and the roof is shingled. We are now ‘weatherproof’, with only a couple more things to do to the exterior (such as siding). Here is a view of our house from across the road…

One Month Old

Liberty was one month old on Sat- hard to believe! So it seemed time to choose a few cute pics and get them on here...

My First Video

A Big Smile

Liberty started smiling when she was ten days old, and at the beginning of this week she laughed! We are amazed at how fast she is starting to do these things, and it has been fun to try and catch her smiles on camera! She is growing faster than I would like, though Jayakar will be happy when she’s not quite so ‘fragile’.

Inside Our House

This is our house! Minus the inside walls and final touches of course, which I will post photos of as they happen. But we are making so much progress.

Happy Grandparents

We celebrated Mom’s birthday on Sat, May 31. I believe she felt her best gift was getting to hold her granddaughter in her arms! Liberty has very proud grandparents.
