Daddy and Me

Prison Baby

Won't you come do the Jailhouse Rock with me?

A Friend Visits

We recently enjoyed a visit from our dear friend, Lena Brandt, who flew here from her home in Seattle, WA. It's a lot quieter around the house than it was with us four girls jabbering away during the past week! Thanks for coming, Lena. Looking forward to next time!

A Birthday

On July 29, we celebrated my 28th birthday. The family went out to lunch, gave me presents, and made the day special in little ways. But this year was very different- Liberty was with me! She is definitely the best present- only God could give one that's so wonderful!!

I Love My Daddy

Liberty adores her father. She lights up whenever she sees him, sits calmly in his lap, and in general thinks he's quite a guy. We are constantly amazed by the very obvious way in which she KNOWS he's her Daddy!

Three Months Old Today...

13 lb, 26 in
What a big, strong girl!

Sheetrock!

Construction Update: the sheetrock is all in place! Taping and texturing of the lower floor is done, so we are now ready to start painting, put in the kitchen, some flooring- and we're ready to move in. In these past weeks all the plumbing, electrical, heating/air conditioning, and septic system have been completed.
The sheetrock is partially done here, and this view is standing in the great room looking towards my future kitchen.
Mom and Liberty are standing in what will be Mom and Dad's master bedroom.
The hole in the wall is intentional. Someday, that will be a built-in entertainment center!

Jayakar's News

Jayakar continued to work on the house project through the beginning of August. He really took hold of one of his final jobs, and became the Insulation Man! Then, on Aug 5, he started his first job in America! He's working at Wal-Mart, and while he doesn't want it to be his life-long career, he is enjoying it. He says the days go by very quickly- a blessing in any occupation! While we continue to keep our eyes open for job opportunities in an office, we are very grateful to the Lord for giving Jayakar a job- and it's even on our side of town.

Finally Posting Again!

My apologies for how long it's been since I posted- also for how many photos will be put on here in a short time! I've been saving them up, hoping to get a chance to blog. All I can say is...computer work is easier when you have two hands! The 'Bad Hair Day' post was taken at the end of July- wow, that's two weeks ago already. She was eleven weeks old.
Liberty is getting bigger and bigger every day, and continues to bring us great joy. These shots were taken on Sun, Aug 10.

Bad Hair Day

....but I don't care what YOU think-
I'm enjoying the comfort of my summer leisure attire!
