March Family Shots

Liberty at Ten Months

These shots were just too cute, and they work great as Liberty's 'official' ten month shots. I put in the second one because it shows off her four teeth quite well!

Warm Weather?

For a few days we had really nice weather- Liberty enjoyed wearing less clothes!

Miss Curious Activity

Liberty never stops moving- even in her sleep. For about a month, I had to swaddle her to make sure she didn't wake herself with arm movements. That phase has passed (thank goodness), but she still keeps going...and going...and going.
We think this little kid is pretty cute!!!!!!!!!!

Farewell, Cyrus

These shots were taken at the end of Feb. While a very good dog, Cyrus just became too big for our lives, and we sold him to a good home on Mar 1. We hope he'll be very happy, and we are all quite content without him around. Aragorn seems to sleep more :)! Liberty also seems to enjoy 'petting' Aragorn much more now that the big dog isn't around.
Goodbye, Cyrus-

A Haircut for Shannon

Yes, my hair is SHORT. I've had long hair for years, and for several months now I've been trying to decide whether I should cut it. One day I just decided to DO IT. And I'm so glad I did, because I love it :)!

9 Months- and Crawling!

Our little girl turned 9 months old on Feb 14. We are amazed at the speed with which a young child develops. I can honestly say there's not much of the baby left in our little toddler. The biggest event was Feb 3- Liberty started crawling. All of a sudden she just did it, and it only took moments for her to be scooching anywhere she chose- including up the two steps from the living room to Grandma's kitchen! We are all so happy she figured out how to move...or are we? I have to keep a wary eye on her, because she seems to love to get into all the things she shouldn't! But she has no trouble communicating with us- she tells us what's on her mind by her multitude of faces.

Teeth

Liberty got her first tooth on Dec 18, and the second one followed a couple days later. They're finally big enough to get a good picture of them! But now she has a couple more on the top, coming in fast. Interesting part is, one appeared on Feb 18, and the second one followed a few days later. Guess I'll have to keep an eye on her mouth every 18th for a while :).

Posting Again- Finally!

I can't believe how time has been flying by! A lot of things have happened. The house has progressed amazingly. Other than woodwork, our home is completely done and we are moved in! It's a wonderful feeling to have passed the inspection, and not have to be working on things all the time. While I might say we're moved in, that doesn't mean settled. I'm still figuring out where to keep lots of things :).
Liberty continues to grow. She still loves to hang out with Grandpa and Gramwa, and definitely has a 'ga' sound to many words. I'm convinced her favorite buddy is Grandpa- she remains content with him for long periods, and prefers to eat sitting on his lap. No, we don't generally give her celery to eat, but she has added semi-solid foods to her diet.

Liberty thinks playing the piano with Gramwa is great!
